When we saw what a raspberry pi could do we immediately thought it would make a great small form factor meta module for euro rack format. so when a prototype was done and we were in the software stage we realized that the capabilities of the platform allowed for full fledged brain style control over audio, cv and midi. since there is amazing support for ready made solutions such as expert sleepers hardware for audio and cv i/o and other working solutions for distributing midi i/o (including expert sleepers and usb peripherals), we decided that there is no need to build this into the hardware.

so the concept is a linux computer for euro rack with usb support for essential peripherals. beyond that you make of it what you want it to be. there are so many applications of a simple computer that its hard to point to one thing and say it does this! it does what your laptop does and looks good and is small. no stigma of a laptop on stage or anywhere.

we are considering a simplified version built around a PCB that will decrease the price dramatically but that is a ways off. in the meantime this is how we do it.
